This buckle honors the Battle of Gettysburg. "Gettysburg" is written in bold across the bottom with an American flag and a Confederate flag, as well as an eagle, above. On the back are the words, "Gettysburg is the site of General Mead's defeat of General Lee on July 1-3, 1863, is also where President Lincoln delivered his stirring address on November 19th of that same year."
